Farmer Don is a 4th generation farmer.  His great-grandfather, John G. Prell, started farming in the Santa Maria area in the late 1860s.

The love of farming continued and his parents had a farm in the Fairview area of Goleta in the 1940s before the highway went through.

Don & Bonnie fell in love with the beautiful Winchester Canyon farm where they raised their two daughters.  In fact, the arrival of their first daughter inspired Farmer Don to grow a wide variety of fruits for the family.  Don & Bonnie then decided to focus on dry-farming Royal Blenheim Apricots as their main crop.

Over the years, our farm has become known for this delicious crop and we have also been able to share the bounty of other stone fruit, citrus, avocados and more.  Recently, we have added flower farming out of a love of growing beauty and to be able to share our seasonal flower bouquets and wreaths.
